Tool for answering calls via 'raise' functions

Raise To Answer is a free utility application for mobile by developer Sylvia van Os. It's a tool that allows users to answer incoming phone calls using a raise device feature that utilizes their devices' built-in gyroscope sensors. It's an open-source app and does not have any ads, which a lot will appreciate.

No more swipes

Raise To Answer is an alternative way of doing a common smartphone activity, answering calls with a swipe. As its name suggests, you can answer incoming calls by simply picking up your device. To avoid accidental answers, you can hold to your ear before taking the call.

Other options include putting your device face-down to decline calls, as well as the option to add audio and touch feedback via beeps and vibration. All said, though, the actual experience of using it is hit-or-miss and just simply inconsistent. Sometimes it works as intended, other times it won't.

Nice concept but unpredictable

The concept behind Raise To Answer is simple but it's a convenient and faster alternative to traditional swipe. Sadly, it's just too unpredictable in practice, making it hard to recommend in its current state. Hopefully, a fix will come soon to address this problem. You can try it but manage your expectations.
